Tryout adds lore-friendly, context-based sex to Fallout: New Vegas. The name comes from Siri, the Legion slave who tells a female player character that Legionaries have been talking about “trying you out.” Several parts tie into the vanilla storyline, building on sexual themes from the base game and other Fallout titles, with a few original twists thrown in.

 

Most of Tryout’s scenarios are written for female player characters. Male characters still have opportunities to visit prostitutes and use slaves, though. I’m a straight guy, so gay content is fairly limited; anyone interested in expanding that side of things is welcome to make their own plugin.

 

WHAT’S IN EACH PART

 

The mod comes in three parts, each marked with a date so you can tell when it last changed. Expect the main package to get the most frequent updates, and the SCR datapack to get the fewest.
TryoutMain

 

SexoutTryout includes several quests as well as random sex solicitations from members of various factions. Don’t want a particular faction approaching you? Set its approach rate to 0 in MCM. That shuts off its scanner without disabling quests or any other content.

 

SexoutTryout.esm covers the Legion, Powder Gangers, Khans, NCR, Kings and Fiends. You’ll find a breakdown below. Content warning: several scenarios involve non-consensual sex, with the player either being assaulted or committing the assault. Bestiality involving both real-world animals and fictional creatures is also included.

 

LEGION

• With the scanner enabled, Legionaries will demand sex from female characters.
• Refusing Legionaries or talking back to Mistress Marissa can leave female characters enslaved at the Fort. Remain in bondage until they decide you’ve earned your freedom, or fight your way out.
• Antony, the Fort’s Master of Hounds, can enlist female characters to help keep his dogs calm and disciplined.
• Both male and female characters can pay Canyon Runner to enter the Cottonwood Cove slave pen and abuse the Weathers family.
• Male characters with a good reputation among the Legion can use its slave girls.
• QUEST: Whore of Babylon. To begin, female characters should speak with Adficio Animicus at Cottonwood Cove.

POWDER GANGERS

• When the scanner is active, fugitives at NCRCF, Vault 19 and Primm demand sex from female player characters.
• Female characters can end up enslaved at NCRCF or Vault 19. Fighting, talking and sneaking are all possible ways out, but waiting can sometimes be the better option.
• During “Run Goodsprings, Run!”, you can chloroform Sunny and Trudy to leave them alive for other uses.
• Female characters gain options to settle most conflicts in the “I Fought The Law” quest series through sex.
• QUEST: Customer Satisfaction. Take Harvey Zaz’s customer satisfaction survey to Epstein in Vault 19.
• QUEST: Walk of Shame. Bring Sunny Smiles to NCRCF as her escort.
• QUEST: Let’s Go To Prison. Speak to Sergeant McGee about getting inside NCRCF.
• QUEST: Have It Your Way. Give Francisco Flambe a hand turning Primm into his kind of town, opening up an alternate Vikki and Vance experience.

KHANS

• An active scanner lets Khans approach female characters for sex.
• QUEST: Golden Whored. Join the Khans by getting “fucked in.”

KINGS

• The Kings are always up for partying with cute girls. Keep the scanner on and they’ll approach you with invitations.
• QUEST: Whole Lotta Shakin’. Recover an important music collection for the King.

NCR

• Start working as an NCR prostitute by speaking with Major Dhatri at Camp McCarran. Troopers will only approach when the scanner is enabled and you’re advertising; otherwise, you can approach them yourself.
• Once you’ve had sex with 20 random troopers, Dhatri can offer special assignments.

FIENDS

• Fiends approach female characters for sex whenever the scanner is set above 0.
• Giving in to Motor-Runner’s demands lets female characters become friendly with the Fiends.
• Inside Vault 3, male characters can exchange drugs for sex with male or female Fiends.
• Daniel will trade the Vault 3 jail key for sex.
• Once you’re friendly with the Fiends, speak to Cook-Cook and play his game.
• Speak to Violet after befriending the Fiends. She’ll try to give you and your companions free puppies.
• Once the Fiends consider you a friend, go talk to Nephi.

OLD WORLD BLUES

• Explore the mysterious X-69 Research Station to obtain history’s most technologically advanced dress, designed by the Think Tank at BIG MOUNTAIN.
• Become irresistible to lobotomites — whether you consider that a power or a curse.

 

SexoutWorkingGirl.esp
This handles the prostitution side of the mod. Ask the Gomorrah receptionist whether they need talent, tell James Garrett he needs more girls, or speak with the Vikki and Vance floor manager after completing “Have It Your Way.” From there, the process should be straightforward. When you’re finished working, return to that NPC to leave whore mode and collect your shift’s pay.

 

Freelancing inside casinos is possible, but management doesn’t approve. The first offense gets you thrown out; try again and you’ll be attacked. You can also work for the Bright Brotherhood, Jacobstown and random gamblers outside the casinos.

 

You can hire Gomorrah prostitutes regardless of your gender or theirs, and arrange prostitutes for your companions too. Companion sexual orientations still apply: Arcade won’t sleep with a woman, and Veronica won’t sleep with a man. The player can hire prostitutes of either gender.

 

TryoutAudio, Textures and Meshes

 

These packs supply every audio, mesh and texture resource Tryout uses. Don’t skip them, or you’ll see red triangles and broken textures on the mod’s outfits. They don’t need an update every time the main mod changes.

 

TryoutSunnyCompanion

 

This is a Sexout-specific version of the Improved Sunny Smiles companion. If you have any version of the Sunny Smiles Companion from the Nexus installed, overwrite it with this one. Sunny currently works as a regular companion, with an additional option to take her as a slave if you side with the Powder Gangers in Run, Goodsprings, Run!

 

KNOWN PROBLEMS

• Talking to Motor-Runner again immediately after the first time he has his way with you will make you repeat the sex sequence. Your belongings in the locker won’t be affected. For that first encounter, I suggest collecting your gear, leaving, and returning the next day if you want another visit.
• Open Sexout’s settings and disable Rape KOs for both the rapist and the victim. Set the rapist’s timer a couple of seconds higher as well. Without these settings, dialogue following non-consensual scenes will break. The screenshot in the spoiler shows my setup.

• In Sexout Spunk, open the Arousal tab and check Fixed Act Duration. Leaving it unchecked can break dialogue after group sex scenes.
