Sexout Common Resources (SCR)

 

BEFORE INSTALLING SCR OR ANY MOD THAT NEEDS IT, MAKE SURE SEXOUTSEXLITE.ESP WORKS FIRST. IF IT DOESN’T, SOMETHING BASIC IS WRONG WITH YOUR SETUP. FIX THAT BEFORE TRYING ANYTHING MORE COMPLEX.

 

SCR is an ESM that brings together the shared assets referenced by SexoutNG plugins: NPCs, drugs, creatures, clothing, weapons, and so on. This lets plugins use the same resources without making each other masters. The ESM only points to meshes and textures; it doesn’t contain those files. Scripting is kept to a minimum, covering only what its objects and plugins need. The supplied DataPack contains some of my additions and the minimum assets SCR itself requires. All DLC and TTW are supported, but neither is required.

 

SCR includes a few perks, though they don’t necessarily do anything on their own. They’re mostly flags that other plugins can read to account for the player’s dialogue preferences.

 

Here’s how the outfit side works. Most outfits have two or three parts. First is the Item ID, which stores armor ratings, weight, value, and similar details, along with the paths to the outfit’s mesh and textures. That’s the part I’ve copied from the original mods into SCR. The remaining parts are the mesh and, where applicable, textures, which you still need to get from the original downloads. I don’t have permission to bundle other people’s work, and including it all would make the download far too large anyway. Keeping things separate also lets you skip outfits you don’t want, such as Ghost suits. An Item ID takes up almost no space compared with meshes & textures. Having those records in SCR lets me put outfits into shared formlists: a plugin can check whether the player is wearing something from the “Heavy Armor” group, for example, then adjust dialogue or sex options accordingly. You can add your own custom outfits to those lists too.

 

Some of the assets aren’t lore-friendly. They should only appear in the game world when another plugin calls for them, usually SexoutStore.
Back up your game with Steam’s Backup function before installing Sexout. First-time installs can easily wreck a setup when someone misses an instruction or installs something they shouldn’t. If you’re not using Steam, Sexout won’t work for you anyway, so stop here or buy the game.

 

SCR also provides sex-related perks whose effects are handled by the plugins that reference them:
Dominant and Submissive.

 

Brood Mother & Bitch in heat are included as well, but only Pregnancy activates them.

Drugs: SexoutDrugging is now a separate SCR plugin. Its MCM menu remains in SCR so one slider doesn’t need an entire extra MCM menu.

 

Use the Support Topic Button on the right for details, help, and beta releases. If you want the outfits to work in plugins or SexoutStore, download the clothing packs listed in the 2nd Post too. Some referenced assets are no longer available, so they have no download links. Their records have to stay, otherwise removing them would break things for people who still have those assets.

 

Installing SCR:

 

Get SexoutCommonResources ESP <date>.rar, SexoutCommonResources-meshes.rar and SexoutCommonResources-textures.rar

 

For a mod-manager installation of Sexout Common Resources:

Extract all the files locally, then combine them into a single zip archive

Install that zip through your mod manager

 

For a manual installation of Sexout Common Resources:

Extract SexoutCommonResources-Data.zip (this also extracts SexoutCommonResources-Data.z01) and SexoutCommonResources ESP <date>.zip into <Fallout Game Directory>data

Additional supported assets:
If you’re seeing diamonds, invisible bodies, or other missing objects in mods using SCR, you may need the assets listed here. Some are no longer downloadable and therefore have no links. I can’t remove their records without breaking support for users who already have them:

 

 As noted above, most of these clothing mods don’t need their original ESP active when you’re using Pregnancy or Sexout Store. You can remove or disable it and keep just the meshes, textures, sounds, and other assets. For FO3 downloads, removing the ESP is mandatory: leaving it in will crash the game.

 

Check your load order after updating, as SCR may move. Keep these files in the following order to avoid crashes:

SexoutStore.esm

 

The version shown in-game uses YYYYMMDD.x. For example, 20120122.2 means 2012-01-22, Version 2.
Include your SCR version whenever you report a problem. Please use font size 14 for your post if possible; it’s much easier for me to read.

 

Important: known incompatibilities

Membois reported that the outdated Tryout Resistance Overhaul mod breaks Sexout Common Resources’ Undress script.

Do not upload anywhere other than LoversLab.
No use for child sexual abuse material. I want no involvement in that or the fallout from it. I DO NOT support using my mods for child sexual abuse material or for involving children in adult sexual situations, including child pregnancy.
